This is a list of solar eclipses in the 6th century BC. During the period 600 to 501 BC there were 255 solar eclipses of which 96 were partial, 86 were annular (one non-central), 65 were total, and 8 were hybrids. The solar eclipse of May 28, 585 BC that ended the Battle of Halys has made this battle the earliest historical event the date of which is exactly known.
